In recent years, the house has been empty and during this time the building has become pretty dilapidated. Currently, there is practically nothing in it, except for a few cabinets and old plumbing.

A two-bedroom house in Michigan (USA) became widely known after it was put up for sale for just $1. However, it is not yet ready for the new owners to move in. The Daily Star writes about it.

The 1956-built 724-square-foot house was purchased by the current owner for $32,400 in 2004.

A two-bedroom apartment in Pontiac, Michigan, was put up for sale on Tuesday (August 15) for just one US dollar by agent Chris Hubel, who claims that due to the low price he attracted a lot of attention.

"As for the responses, I received hundreds of phone calls, hundreds of messages, hundreds of emails," Hubel told Insider, adding that his phone "doesn't stop ringing."

The owner of the house from the moment of purchase mostly rented housing to tenants, and in 2011 tried to sell the house for $ 10,000. Now the building has been put up for sale again for a much smaller amount, and, according to Hubel's announcement, it can become "the cheapest in the world."

However, there is one catch. In recent years, the house has been empty and during this time the building has become pretty dilapidated. Currently, there is practically nothing in it, except for a few cabinets and old plumbing, as well as peeling paint and a layer of dust on many surfaces.

In order to make it habitable, it will take a makeover, but Hubel believes that it is worth it, and believes that investors may even be able to profit from it.

"I would say that for those who do the work on their own, it can be done for about 25 thousand dollars," the agent continued.

The man added that by repairing the building, you can get up to 120 thousand dollars. The publication notes that this may seem like a good offer, but it is unlikely that the house will be sold for such a low price.

"I've had a lot of people who just thought they were really going to buy it for a dollar. And then any investor understands that the whole idea is that we accept offers and choose the best offer. I've been hatching the idea of putting the house up for sale for a dollar for several years, and really, you need to have such a connection with the client that he trusts you to do something like this," Hubel said.

The realtor expects the house to sell for about $39,500.
