In Ukraine, the state program of rental housing with the right of redemption will be launched

In Ukraine, a state program of rental housing with the right to buy is being developed, it can be launched through the PJSC "Ukrainian Financial Housing Company". This is reported by the Interfax-Ukraine agency.

As it is known, Ukrfinzhilye also coordinates the mortgage program of Novosel.

The rent to own format is widespread in European countries, it is now being studied by Ukrfinzhilia experts. This format assumes that a person first rents a house for a limited period of time together with the payment of rent payments, accumulates funds to pay the down payment and then the transaction turns into a full loan.

The payment rate will be lower than the market rate, and all rental income will be transferred to the revolving fund, from which new residential premises will be created.

"We are not ready to announce the details on rates, deadlines and participants yet. You will hear more specifics after all stages of discussion with government representatives," the press service of Ukrfinzhilia reported.

According to Elena Shulyak, head of the parliamentary committee on the organization of state power, local self-government, regional development and urban planning, Ukraine plans to introduce social housing rentals for internally displaced persons and those in need of housing solutions.

The Eurosela Affordable mortgage program began operating in October 2022. It is implemented by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine together with the Ministry of Finance and Ukrfinzhil.

During the first year of the program, hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians applied for housing, but only 3,543 received loans. The problem of the "settlement" is that the state wants to help the development of the construction industry, and people want ready-made housing.

As NERUKHOMI reported in the real estate news, since the beginning of this year, more than a thousand Ukrainian families have already taken advantage of the preferential mortgage program "Eurosela" for a total amount of 1.8 billion hryvnia. In total, since the start of the program, 7,400 families have already received loans totaling UAH 11.2 billion. In 2024, Ukrfinzhilye plans to issue 12,000 preferential mortgage loans under the There is a Monastery program.
